To get a copy of my book, "How To Grow Vegetables In Sitka, Alaska" just give me a call....The books are $20 plus tax. If you live out of town and want me to mail you a copy, you can mail a check for $25.60 to:

The Work Continues

Another day another dollar, right?

Transplanted lettuce, swiss chard and spinach down one half of a bed today.  It is a very tedious job, but the results are so much better for me than if I broadcast seeds directly outdoors.  At the end of the month I will start the second planting indoors and when it is up it will get transplanted into the other half of the bed.

It's now covered with floating row cover and net...and looks somewhat like a giant caterpillar...

As long as it doesn't blow 50 mph it should be okay.  Also worked on a sort of entrance into the garden to accommodate customers better.  May make a better gate later, but net will do for now.

Am thinking a bath would feel good about now....
