Sunflower Planting Day

Last night one of my most favorite people in the world, Connie Hyde, came to town! She's going to stay at the house and watch Levi while I am gone.   Connie and I go WAY back and I just love her!  I met her  when I was engaged to Mr. Adams...over 30 years ago!  Connie does more than just take care of Levi.  She cleans my house, waters the garden, pays the bills, and many other things I ask her to do.  She's like an extension of myself.

It's just a few days now until I get on the boat, so I'm trying to get the most important things done.  The trouble is I can't seem to figure out what the most important things are!  I find myself kind of just stirring around, getting nowhere.  For some reason it seemed really important today to organize these pots ....

It's a good thing I did, because I found 2 eggs in the pile!

In the afternoon Yvonne came over again and helped me decide where to plant all the sunflowers and nasturtiums.  I have so many sunflower starts that I feel overwhelmed trying to decide  where to put them all.  Yvonne was a huge help.

The most amazing thing that happened today was getting a call from my Dad...he is going to fly up here next week to replace the duck hutch roof for me while I am out on the boat.  Isn't he wonderful!?!?  Thanks Dad

  1. Brenda told me last night what happened (after your dad called and shared the story). That is so cool that he is coming there to help put things back in order. The ducks need a good home for crying out loud. :) I will say it has been VERY handy having "dad" Larry around to do projects. However, now that I have put up a new fence he might be upset that I blocked his view. Oops. He will see just fine as he combines right by the house. Have fun getting everything ready to go.
