The weather really deteriorated today. The boat was scheduled to get in at about noon, so I spent the morning outdoors getting some last minute things done. Connie took this photo of me harvesting garlic greens to take along for cooking.
It was very wet outside. A good day to be a duck!
When the boat came in Levi and I drove the vehicles down to the harbor and met them.
Levi helped the guys tie up the boat while I took pictures.
This young man is our assistant guide, Alex Carter. He's single, ladies!
And there is Mr. Adams! I think he is happy to see me!
With all this help we got the boat turned around in short order. Vacuuming, cleaning, escorting clients to and from hotels, and getting groceries.
Now to catch up on some paperwork and try to get some rest and relaxation before heading out in the morning!
THE U-Pick GARDEN will be closing August 20th. This will be the last year the garden will be open to the public. Next year I'll be operating as a CSA, supplying about 20 regular customers with weekly boxes. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years, but it's time to try something new.
To get a copy of my book, "How To Grow Vegetables In Sitka, Alaska" just give me a call....The books are $20 plus tax. If you live out of town and want me to mail you a copy, you can mail a check for $25.60 to:
