Congratulations, condolences, and thank yous to all you mothers out there. Hope it's an easy day for you. I cleaned and reinstalled the bathroom fan for mum today. It wasn't easy, especially considering the fact that I was trying to put it in upside-down... But although my face may have looked like this at times:
And I may or may not have resorted to using a hammer.... With an ounce of common sense from Camy Hyde, and more than a few ounces of Sheetrock in my unfortunate eyeballs, I managed it.
There is, of course, a cover over it as well. Oh, and by the way, the clouds broke and the sun finally came out today! Check out that sky... It's still being a little bi-polar, but we have hopes...
And I hauled next week's wood.
Now I gotta go do some math....
THE U-Pick GARDEN will be closing August 20th. This will be the last year the garden will be open to the public. Next year I'll be operating as a CSA, supplying about 20 regular customers with weekly boxes. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years, but it's time to try something new.

Down To Earth U-Pick Garden is located at 2103 Sawmill Creek Road in Sitka, Alaska. It is open usually from mid-June through late August. Hours are Monday-Saturday 12:00 to 6:30. On Farmer's Market Saturdays I am not open until 2:00. Children are welcome but may not run through the garden or chase the ducks.
