Well, I couldn't wait any longer and I put water in the duck pool. The bad news is that one side is lower than the other side....
The good news is that there is a way to fix something....you just have to get creative and think hard....there is always a way! My friends Monique, Ken and Ardele stopped by and helped me come up with a solution...I am going to create a feature along that low edge...something like some flat rocks and mortar. The ducks LOVE standing on high spots...I think they will love it and it will make the pool more interesting! I also think it would be fun to insert a cement fountain feature over the input hose ...something NOT like a little boy peeing in the pool. Anyways, for now I cut off the stand pipe to lower the waterline and at some other point in time I will tackle the rock project.....right now I am too tired.
I have yet to see a duck get in the pool.
