I Tried

Today I was determined to really enjoy my day off.  What should I do?  Work outside?  Go somewhere?  Sit around in my pajamas and watch movies?  A tough decision...

Well, the first thing I did was go to church, then once back home I made lunch and processed a double batch of strawberry jam and sat then down in my recliner.  I had decided to spend the day watching movies and crocheting.  Every once in a while it would stop raining and I would look outside and feel a little guilty for being in the house, but I told myself to relax..........That lasted until about 3:00.  It got really nice and I began to feel SO guilty for never doing anything with Lucy, so I got up and took her for a walk to Thimbleberry Lake, her favorite place in the whole world.  I took along a plastic bag and picked red huckleberries while he got her fill of exploring and sniffing things.  It drizzled off and on but all in all it was pretty nice. I noticed that my fingers got cold...a sure sign that Fall is here!
