Days 2 and 3

Whew! Our road trip has been very busy! We've done some driving, but we've been playing the tourist too....so we're still in Tennessee.

We starting things off on Day 2 by driving a loop through the Smoky Mountains...

It was a little foggy, so the mountains did indeed look "smoky".

Then we visited Pigeon Forge where we took a ride on the 200 foot high Ferris Wheel....

We could see the Smoky Mountains in the distance when we were at the top...

And then we took in the Lumberjack Dinner Show.

That evening we watched the 4th of July Parade in Gatlinburg. They're on Eastern time, and their parade starts at midnight on the 3rd of July, making it the first 4th of July parade in the United States!

On Day 3 we left Gatlinburg and headed East making a stop in Chattanooga to take the trolley ride up to the top of Lookout Mountain to visit the Civil War battleground.

So far we've traveled about 800 miles. The weather is mild and the truck is running great!

I can't think of a better way to spend the 4th of July!
