Day 7

Everywhere we go people come up to us to ask us about the truck....we simply can't go to a gas station without somebody stopping to visit with us.

And as we visit with them we find that almost without exception they are all saying the same thing......they are worried about our country, and they want to share the good news of the gospel with us.  I find it comforting that there are still lots of good people who care about God's will and that they are willing to reach out to us with love and concern.

Today started out with warm weather and mostly blue sky....

Perfect weather for driving. But then this afternoon it started to rain...at first it was just a sprinkle...

We have no windshield wipers, so we stopped and bought some Rain-X and applied it to the windshield thinking it would help to shed the rain.

We've used Rain-X in the past with great results......so we were amazed that it didn't seem to help this time.

We think it might have something to do with the design of the windshield....it's basically set straight up and down rather than at an angle.

It takes some concentration to drive without windshield wipers.

Can you say, "White-knuckled-death-grip?"

Oh, and we got our first chip in the windshield today......it's about 1/4 inch across on the passenger  side.

 Bummer.

Goodnight from Taos, New Mexico.
