Synopsis Of The Trip

Well, the bear hunt was pretty typical except for one bad weather incident...it was really stormy the night we left town and we got into some pretty rough water and bent one of our poles....

You can see that one pole is straight and one is bent...

We don't know why it happened.....we have been in worse weather and had no trouble with the gear so we think we must have hooked into something with the stabilizer in the dark...a whale or log or something.

I was barfing out the window....it was ugly.  But hey...all is well now.

Here's how I kept myself busy while they were out hunting...sewing new potholders to replace the worn out ones on the boat....

crocheting a baby sweater and hat for a friend who is expecting a baby soon...

and of course the annoying cooking...

and cleaning...

I'd rather just sew....

  1. Lori, your posts are so enjoyable. Sooo, was the hunt a success for the hunters and not so much for the hunted?

    1. Lori, what kind of sewing machine is that? Can't be electric, can it? Whatever works for you, you certainly make some beautiful things with it. Check out my Facebook page and see the sweet potato I harvested. Your dad thinks it looks like something a surgeon might have taken out of some human. My comment back to him....prolly was infected too. Ha! Carolyn Y.
