The Apples

One of the main objectives of our trip to Oregon was to pick apples. And pick apples we did!

My family lives in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, one of the most fertile valley's in the country. Almost every farm has an apple orchard in the back yard, and my parent's farm and sister's place are no exception.

Some of us picked the lower apples by hand, and some of us shook the branches and picked the apples up from the ground....

Then some of us used ladders and some of us climbed trees to pick the apples in the upper branches...

Some of the apples are big...

And some of the apples are little...

We picked ALL the apples off the trees...

And Emily finally found her Prince....
