The Commute

Hey, I'm back! Levi does a great job for me.  I love the bit about chop sticks.......he's not kidding, it's been cold.

The bear hunt is not over yet, but I need to catch a flight first thing tomorrow morning out of Sitka to North Dakota to watch Ben and Emily graduate from college, so Mr. Adams ran me into town with the big skiff this morning.

At first he thought I should just run in by myself.  I have driven the commute many times in the past, but I have never driven the big skiff, so I was apprehensive to go alone. So, he was a gentleman and took me in.  Isn't he nice?

On the way home he gave me a skiff driving lesson.

It truly was a beautiful day.  On the way home we saw a Brown Bear, a deer, numerous sea lions, sea otters and eagles, and had a whale surface about 100 yards from the boat as we were zooming by.

These photos don't do the scenery justice as we were heading into the sun, causing our view to be a little hazy....

Sitka!

After reading his mail and running some errands, Mr. Adams headed back out to the boat. I ran some errands and Carolyn and I worked in the garden for a few hours.............more about that later.

For now it's a hot bath and hopefully some sleep, and I'm North Dakota bound in the morning!
