I'm Back!!

Well, I'm back. And there is a lot to do. I'm already tired.

The garden looks great, but as always, there have been some crop failures. One of the failures was the spinach. It was probably weather related as our Spring was extra cold. The tiny spinach starts just never took off. Most of them were only about 3 inches tall and they were already starting to bolt (producing a flower head and trying to go to seed). Fortunately, Penny Brown down at Garden Ventures had some nice looking spinach starts, so I bought a flat of them today and replanted the whole row.

Fortunately my lettuce looks great and doesn't need to be replanted! Look at this beautiful red variety.....

The weather was so beautiful today and it's forecasted to remain nice for the weekend....it's so nice to be home!
