A Date With Pam

Today I took my good friend Pam on a date to celebrate her birthday......well, her birthday was quite a while ago, but we finally made time to get together today!

Our first stop was The Botanika Organic Spa, Eco-Boutique and Tonic Bar....

.....were we picked up some Chocolate Ganache Pie with Raspberry Coulis.....

.....and a couple of Hawaiian smoothies......

Photo: The Hawaiian. Our Smoothie Bar is open 'til 2pm. Come get out of the cold. It's tropical here!

The smoothies were packed with delicious and nutritious ingredients:
pineapple, coconut meat, cashews, coconut milk, vanilla, passionfruit, and agave. YUMMY!!

The proprietor, Koali Pontual, is so friendly!

And everything in the Boutique looks beautiful and delicious....

Next, we headed to the center of town to hit the new Pelmini food cart.....

Peliminis are little Russian dumplings that are filled with either meat or potato. They are served with either sour cream, curry, hot sauce and cilantro or vinegar, salt and pepper.

The proprietors of this fabulous new food cart are Ayla Stromquist and Bryanna Graham...

Today was their opening day, and they were BUSY!!

There was nowhere to sit down to eat our marvelous treats and it was raining, so we headed to my house to eat and visit....

It was delicious. Too bad birthdays only come once a year!
