I just fell in LOVE with these mittens down at Laura's Knit Shop....
I decided that I just HAD to figure out how to crochet some....a very difficult task.....after a night of many hours on the internet and some trial and error I figured out how to do it (and although my yarn is not as pretty as hers is they turned out quite nice)....
I had to use smaller yarn, alter the pattern a little, use a tapestry stitch technique with a single crochet stitch worked through the posts of the lower stitch and voila!!
They are super cozy inside with an alpaca lining.....
This is all I have been wanting to do lately.....but it's been so worth it.....Bring on the snow!!!

Amazing mittens! Could we entice you to write up a pattern or at least give some how-to hints? Love love love them!
ReplyDeleteWell, I just bought the knitting pattern for the chart, then used the stitches I mentioned up above to crochet the same design....It's hard to explain, but I could SHOW you how?
DeleteThe chart I used is from a mitten pattern designed by Adrian Bizilia Designs and I bought it off the ravelry.com
