Levi does not enjoy the food at the high school cafeteria and so he has been coming home for lunch. Lately he has been bringing home a few friends too. They only have 35 minutes for a lunch break and it takes 7 minutes to travel one way so they are always in a hurry when they are here....that's why the photo is blurry.
(Why is he always making that face?)
Today's menu was
BBQ chicken pizza
roasted asparagus
smoked salmon cheeseball with crackers
Apple cidar
and Crunch "Dibs" for dessert
When I was in the other room I overheard one of them say, "Why are their black beans in the pizza?" And when I asked Levi if he liked the pizza he said, "Yes, but it was kind of weird."
They ate it all, but maybe they would prefer hot pockets tomorrow?
THE U-Pick GARDEN will be closing August 20th. This will be the last year the garden will be open to the public. Next year I'll be operating as a CSA, supplying about 20 regular customers with weekly boxes. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years, but it's time to try something new.
To get a copy of my book, "How To Grow Vegetables In Sitka, Alaska" just give me a call....The books are $20 plus tax. If you live out of town and want me to mail you a copy, you can mail a check for $25.60 to:
