It Happens So Quickly

I'm back from bear hunting and I am just amazed at the garden!! I never get over it......this sudden reawaking....the surprising warmth of Spring.....the transplants taking root and the seeds sprouting....And I was only gone for about 2 weeks! The lettuce is ready to eat.....

Egyptian Walking Onions are so much fun!

I wonder if there will be Apples this year....it's hit or miss in Sitka when it comes to Apples.

The Kohlrabi is already bulbing up....

The peas are climbing....

Potatoes!!

We're eating Garlic Greens already!

The radishes are so yummy....they're so juicy that they should be considered a liquid rather than a solid!

The mother duck is still sitting on her eggs...12 of them. AND, a second duck got broody but I didn't want more ducklings so we kept taking the eggs from her. Unfortunately she wouldn't give up, so I slipped some of the first duck's eggs under her last night.

I think it is the only way she'll snap out of it. The ducklings should hatch in the next week or so......I can't wait..... Baby ducklings are so much fun!
