Goodbye Mexico, Hello Alaska

Well, we are home, and the weather is kind of a shock.....cold feels so much colder when you have been in Mexico!  But, it is SO nice to be back. Here are a few pictures of our adventures in Mexico...

We played lots of table games in the evenings, and there were prizes for all the winners.....

Ben even solved the dreaded rafting puzzle!

WOW!!!!

We rode a lot of buses...

We painted pottery down by the pool....

Look at how beautiful they turned out!!!!

We were delighted by iguanas and geckos every day...

And were treated to a real show when the pelicans started feeding on fish right in front of the resort....

Dad found a boat on the beach....

Levi rolled around in the surf and was pushed up on a rock that was covered with Sea Urchins and subsequently needed medical attention...

And Ben found an impossibly small baby Puffer Fish stranded in the tide pools....

It looked like a wind-up bath toy when it was swimming around...we never could get it to puff up...

We visited the old market down town...

Chicken feet anyone?

We ate...

And ate...

And ate....

And ate.

The food was both beautiful and delicious...

Lemonada was  the favorite drink...they make it with lime juice, mineral water and liquid sugar.  It was so good some people were temped to steal other people's drinks..

But Emily's stuffed dog, Rufus, who she has had since she was a very young girl, had the biggest adventure of all. He disappeared one day and could not be found.  After some investigation it was discovered that he had been gathered up with the bedding by the maid and taken to the laundry.

If only he could talk....what stories he could tell!
