Work your fingers to the bone, what do you get?
Rotary Cuff problems.....
I've been having trouble with my shoulder for a couple of years now. I can still do the heavy lifting and moving I used to do, but I'm very careful about it. I think I've trained other muscles to compensate for my problems, and luckily I've been getting by, but I know my time is numbered. So I headed down to the doctor's office and got my first steroid injection this week. I hope it works....I really don't want to have to make room in my schedule for surgery.
So, let this be a warning to you, all you gardeners out there.....BE CAREFUL, DON'T OVERDO IT, AND MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, YOU SHOULD HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE HEAVY LIFTING FOR YOU!!
THE U-Pick GARDEN will be closing August 20th. This will be the last year the garden will be open to the public. Next year I'll be operating as a CSA, supplying about 20 regular customers with weekly boxes. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years, but it's time to try something new.
To get a copy of my book, "How To Grow Vegetables In Sitka, Alaska" just give me a call....The books are $20 plus tax. If you live out of town and want me to mail you a copy, you can mail a check for $25.60 to:
