THE U-Pick GARDEN will be closing August 20th. This will be the last year the garden will be open to the public. Next year I'll be operating as a CSA, supplying about 20 regular customers with weekly boxes. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years, but it's time to try something new.

Down To Earth U-Pick Garden is located at 2103 Sawmill Creek Road in Sitka, Alaska. It is open usually from mid-June through late August. Hours are Monday-Saturday 12:00 to 6:30. On Farmer's Market Saturdays I am not open until 2:00. Children are welcome but may not run through the garden or chase the ducks. Oh, My Aching Back!

The weather has been absolutely beautiful that past few days, but I haven't been able to be outdoors to enjoy it....I've been trapped indoors collating and binding the gardening book!


I spread everything out at the church and then my crew arrived to help me...


Around, around, around we go...


Where we stop, nobody knows!!


It took 2 long days to collate all the pages and bind about 50 books. Mr. Adams, Pam Benion and Connie Hyde all helped me...I couldn't have done it without them. Thanks you guys!

Here's the Zutter Bind-It-All I am using to bind the books. My sister-in-law, Kelley Roth recommended it to me and it really works great!


 Now I'm going to take a little trip to Oregon to see my Mom and Dad. But I'll be back in time for the garden expo on Sunday, March 10, from 12:00-3:00 at the ANB Hall, so be sure to stop by and pick up a copy of the book!
