A Time For Everything

Sadly, about a week ago we got the sad news that Mr. Adams' brother, Luke, passed away unexpectantly. I don't normally write about personal things, current events or sad things...but it was a major event in our lives and I wanted to stop a moment and pay Luke Adams tribute.

Mr. Adams had 4 brothers....they were a rough and ready bunch of boys...a real handful! The funeral was in Bend, Oregon last week and it was nice to touch base with the brothers and their families again. My sister-in-law, Sue Adams took some beautiful photos during our visit that I'd like to share.....

Brother Stan along with one of Luke's sons, John Luke

Mr. Adams with brother's Lee and Tim

 Great nephew Jake

 Jake with his sister, Brooklyn

Mr. Adams with his Uncle Darrell and brother Stan

 Brothers Lee and Tim

Mr. Adams' father, Lyle

All in all it was a sad but good time. Now that we are home I'm working in the sunroom planting seeds and while I'm working I keep thinking about the scripture verses from Ecclesiastes 3:

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Rest in Peace, Luke.
