THE U-Pick GARDEN will be closing August 20th. This will be the last year the garden will be open to the public. Next year I'll be operating as a CSA, supplying about 20 regular customers with weekly boxes. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years, but it's time to try something new.

Down To Earth U-Pick Garden is located at 2103 Sawmill Creek Road in Sitka, Alaska. It is open usually from mid-June through late August. Hours are Monday-Saturday 12:00 to 6:30. On Farmer's Market Saturdays I am not open until 2:00. Children are welcome but may not run through the garden or chase the ducks. It Happens Fast

On Monday I posted a photo of the raspberries that were ripe.....


And on Wednesday there were more....


And today there were even more!!!


They come on fast... I'm thinking that on Monday I'll be putting the "RASPBERRY" sign up at the bottom of the driveway!


So plan on coming out to the the U-Pick Garden next week for some ripe raspberries....or I'll pick them all myself!

    Those raspberries look so yummy! I'll be right over to get some!! :) I just read about your turnip-I'm voting for you to keep an eye on it and harvest it when it is at its best and then have some for you and your family and a tithe to someone else that will use it. Persevere, Evonne
    PS I just picked some sugar and snap peas here. The broccoli and cauliflower is over and green beans are coming on good.
