THE U-Pick GARDEN will be closing August 20th. This will be the last year the garden will be open to the public. Next year I'll be operating as a CSA, supplying about 20 regular customers with weekly boxes. Thank you for your support over the last 8 years, but it's time to try something new.

Down To Earth U-Pick Garden is located at 2103 Sawmill Creek Road in Sitka, Alaska. It is open usually from mid-June through late August. Hours are Monday-Saturday 12:00 to 6:30. On Farmer's Market Saturdays I am not open until 2:00. Children are welcome but may not run through the garden or chase the ducks. Salute!

Today we found out that Levi is going to be Co-Salutatorian of his graduating class!

Salute, Levi!


He worked hard during his high school career and really deserves it.  Only one B during all 4 years!!


He got it in World Geography.......
 




To celebrate, I took him out to dinner....at Ludvig's, of course!  Ludvig's Bistro is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves amazing Mediterranean cuisine.  Levi had the steak.....it was tender and amazing....


I had the lamb chops again......because they are so DELICIOUS!!!


And for dessert Levi had the chocolate torte with raspberry sauce......Beautiful.......


I'm so proud of you, Levi!!

      University of Anchorage to study foreign language (Chinese) and creative writing.....and if things work out he can utilize a program that will let him study in the lower 48 and abroad for in-State tuition.
