Keeping My Head Above Water

The paperwork load around our house has been just crushing us! Yesterday I just had to get out of the house to get some fresh air, so I took Lucy for a walk...Come on, Lucy, let's go!

Levi helped me get a bunch of contemporary Christian music on my fancy phone, and it just does my heart and mind such good to listen to it while we walk. It's like soothing water over a parched soul.

It was such a nice day that I decided to do a little work outside when I got home.  A friend of mine told me it's possible to force rhubarb by covering the plant crowns with upside-down terracotta pots.

I don't really need rhubarb earlier than usual, but the ducks do worry it alot when it's first coming up, so I always have to go to a lot of trouble to fence it off from them. This year I decided to try covering them up...
I don't have big terracotta pots, so I'm trying buckets.

Now it looks like I have a crop of buckets sprouting up in the garden!

I hope it works.
