Well, there's good news and bad news;
The bad news is that Lucy barked like crazy when we put her outside last night and would not stop.
The good news is the mothballs kept the bears out of our yard.
The bad news is they were not strong enough to run them out of the entire neighborhood.
The good news is that noone could hear Lucy bark because we locked her in the back of the pickup/canopy.
.....and there's more good news.....I slept all night, the neighbors weren't annoyed, and the dog could bark to her heart's content with out fear of retribution. Problem solved.

maybe it is something else that bothers her at night - ?
ReplyDeleteI suppose that is always a possibility, but I don't think so. She has a specific bark for bears, the neighbors have actually seen the bear walking through their yard at night and her barking episodes have coincided with other neighborhood dogs acting up.
