Busy Day

Although the weather was very gross today we got quite a bit done.  First we went garage saling.  Mr. Adams scored on some brand new cartridges for his bug repellant devices.  I have never used them, but he says they work great.  Maybe I should invest in some for the garden next year.  Once we arrived home I contacted a friend who likes to buy ducks from me and I sold him 4 of my drakes. 

My pictures are so blurry lately.  I haven't gotten used to the fact that it is darker this time of year and I need to start using my flash more! 

One of the ducks has started a nest inside the hutch!  There are 6 eggs in it.

She hasn't committed to sitting on it yet, but it would be great to get one more batch before winter kicks in!

Next we dug up the last of the potatoes.  Mr. Adams did the harvesting and I took the photos.  He moved so fast that these photos are blurry too!

I also spent some time prepping the bed for garlic, but eventually the weather drove me inside to the woodstove.  Ahhhh, there's nothing like a wood fire on a windy, rainy October day!
