For a long time now I have had issues with drainage in my duck pool...and for a long time I've been saying, "some day I'm going to have to fix that". Well, today was the day I guess. It was plugged beyond anything a plunger could fix.
And here is the culprit...
The elbow. Crud just kept settling in the elbow. Of course I couldn't buy any materials today, but I did alot of digging to make room for a gentle curving hose- no fittings- and will buy materials tomorrow.
I also crawled around under the house trying to figure how to get electricity to the duck hutch. I was going to run a wire from an outlet that is outside on the side of the house, but the outlet didn't work and when I traced the wire I found that it had been cut....hmmm. Anyways, I'm getting advise tomorrow from an expert on how to proceed with that project.
I was so bummed about my projects not working out that I headed out to the wood pile to throw wood around for awhile. We are trying to make room for the dump truck to dump horse manure to the back of the property and the wood pile is in the way. I am scared to think of how many times we've handled that wood. It's definitely heated us up more than a few times.
At least it didn't rain on me today.
