It was a glorious day today! My first Somniferum poppy opened up today!
Everybody was outside enjoying the sunshine!
Even Levi! He went for a hike with a friend today. He and Mr. Adams have been whittling down the pile of wood. Levi splits and Mr. Adams stacks. Sometimes I help. We have a wood splitter but Levi is going to try to split is all by hand. this summer. Here is Mr. Adams showing him how it's done....
The raspberries are starting to plump up. I always get a few berries early.... they always taste bad...I always throw them away and worry that the whole crop is going to fail...then the rest ripen and the crop is just fine...its is the same every year. Here are the first 2 nasty raspberries of the year!
Weird.
Today Jack Lew stopped in and bought some garlic greens. He and his sister, Jessica, are using them in some spring rolls that they are making to sell at the Farmer's Market tomorrow.
My friend, Yvonne Christner is also going to be there selling her Rhubarb/Salmonberry sodas. I can't wait to try one! Come on down and check it out!
