At the hatchery they collect the returning Salmon....
And they harvest the eggs and sperm.
I was able to back the truck right up to the totes of fish....
....and pitch them directly into the back of the truck.

And then I brought them home and unloaded them.....

Do you ever get bears/ravens messing with your garden after you put fish in it?
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any bear trouble. I wait until there is LOTS of fish in the streams and there is no more bear activity in the police blotter. I also put moth balls up around the perimeter of the property....that really works! Ravens haven't bothered it either. The only trouble so far has been dogs. Now I have a net fence around the property that keeps them out.
