Today Mr. Adams spray washed the side of the house in preparation for painting. It was raining most of the day but so what.....spray washing is a wet job and you can't get any wetter, right?
I was stationed inside to catch any water that might leak through the windows.
We've managed to drag this house painting project out about 4 years now...we average one side per year. Last year I painted the bottom half of this side...it will be nice to finish the job! The weather is supposed to improve the next couple of days....hmmm...we'll see. The forecast on my phone has pictures of a rainy sun!
I had a few customers today between rain showers. One gal was an Israeli from Michigan. She was on a cruise ship that made a stop here today and she had rented a bike. She biked past our place and saw my sign for kale and just HAD to stop in! She said they weren't feeding them a lot of fresh produce on the ship and she was dying for some kale. I let her pick some and she just ate it on the spot! It was fun to show her around and visit with her.
There are about 4 pea pods now. I figure to have pea pods coming out of our ears by next week. I sold a nice sized kohlrabi today...I am so excited to grow it next year. I feel like I have finally figured out how to do it. My sunflowers fizzled. This just wasn't the year for sunflowers. The few that survived the weather and the deer are stunted. I ate a delicious radish today. A lot of them have marks on them....something else in the garden likes radishes too.
Even though it was soggy it was a pretty good day!
OH I think you can get wetter!! here in Cambodia during a rain storm!! never seen so much rain fall so fast! It can rain several inches in an hour...Bring out the soap, take a free shower:) Miss you Lori
